Company History & Profile

Over 15 years ago, Sam Clay, pharmacist and owner of Kirkpatrick's Pharmacy of Petersburg, formed Clay Home Medical. Prior to that, Kirkpatrick's Pharmacy provided the residents of the tri-cities and central Virginia with durable medical equipment. As the market evolved, Sam saw the need to expand the medical equipment division of Kirkpatrick's pharmacy by starting a separate business entity. Since 1993, that entity, Clay Home Medical has served the needs of central and southside Virginia. The company has become a valuable asset to the area and a dependable resource for the medical community. With locations in Emporia and Petersburg, the company has been able to expand coverage and service to the James River in Richmond to the Carolina line.

We strive to be a valuable resource for the community, to be knowledgeable, respectful, and caring to all we serve.
